A superplay comes in two forms. One is a standard "superplay", where you go for the highest score possible. This only applies for games that have scores. The other form of superplay is a "speed run", where you play through a game that has a set end point as fast as possible. To be able to beat a game quickly it takes planning, skill, and risk. Well done superplays are fun to watch and educational for players of the game. Check out some superplay-related sites on the Links page.
Nightsong Operatives is adapted for doing speed runs. Nightsong Mercenaries is adapted for doing superplays. Submit your replays to brized@gmail.com, so they can be displayed on the site and the participants can be displayed in the newest map release. If you don't send the replay file, the record will not be acknowledged.
Guidelines for submitted High Scores:
1) Please don't use maphack.
2) I will display the overall top 10 scores for Mercenaries.
Guidelines for submitted Speed Runs:
1) If you are going to adjust the difficulty, do so after selecting your hero when the option screen automatically comes up (updated 9/1/08).
2) Don't adjust the difficulty down in the middle of play or else the lowest difficulty you set will be considered the difficulty used for the game.
3) Don't use level skips.
5) Please don't use maphack.
6) I will display the top three speed runs for any given difficulty adjustment.
